Nearly a week after shadow-dropping, Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered is going stronger than ever. After launching to just over 182,000 concurrent Steam players on its first day, the remaster has crossed 200,000, reaching approximately 205,499 per SteamDB.

This makes it the fourth biggest launch on Steam for Bethesda Softworks behind Fallout 4 (472,692), Starfield (330,723) and The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim (287,411). It’s done this without extensive months of marketing leading up to its release, which is impressive (if you don’t factor in all the rumors and leaks).

Co-developed with Virtuos, The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC at $49.99 alongside Game Pass. Bethesda recently confirmed over four million players within three days of launch. Check out our review of the remaster here – we gave it a nine out of ten, praising the visual overhaul, improvements to combat, and new additions like sprinting while criticizing the bugs and UI.
