Former Nippon Ichi Software president Sohei Niikawa has announced the establishment of SuperNiche, a new company with a “Creators First” management policy and an aim to improve the development environment in Japan so that creators can freely express their individuality and passion.

While it is currently a one-person company, SuperNiche is already working on several projects with the “Creators First” policy. The work it will undertake encompasses all forms of media, including games, novels, manga, music, and video.

As its first project, SuperNiche is producing Etrange Overlord, written by novelist Roman Kitayama.

Information on future entertainment contents handled by SuperNiche will be announced via the company’s official website and Sohei Niikawa’s official Twitter account.

Sohei Niikawa has worked at Nippon Ichi Software Co., Ltd. for 26 years since joining the company as a new graduate, and has been engaged in sales and development. He served as president for 13 years. In August 2022, he retired from Nippon Ichi Software Co., Ltd. He established Superniche LLC.
