Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth infamously underperformed on PS5 despite widespread critical acclaim, though it seems to be enjoying better success on PC. Square Enix’s open-world action RPG launched for Steam late last month, and as early player numbers suggested, the game is off to a quick start from a sales perspective.

Circana executive director and analyst Mat Piscatella revealed on BlueSky that in its launch week, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth on PC topped bestselling charts across physical and digital tracked data in the US. What’s more, the Final Fantasy Remake and Rebirth double pack ranked third for the week. Clearly, it’s attracting a healthy audience on the platform.

Leaks have claimed that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and its predecessor are both also headed to Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2. These should presumably translate into growing sales for the Remake saga for some time to come.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is currently available on PS5 and PC.
