Publisher PLAYISM and developer KOTAKE CREATE will release a Switch 2 version of The Exit 8 on August 29 alongside the theatrical movie adaptation, the companies announced.

The anomaly-spotting walking simulator, which has sold 1.9 million copies, has previously been released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Switch, PC via Steam, iOS, and Android.

The Switch 2 version will ship with new anomalies, which will soon be added to the Switch and PC versions of the game via a free update, followed by PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, iOS, and Android in the near future.

Apart from resolution and frame rate improvements, new anomalies will also be added to the game to commemorate the release of the movie adaptation on the same day.
