Ending the Konami Press Start on a high note, the publisher confirmed that a remake of Silent Hill 1 is in development. Bloober Team, which worked on Silent Hill 2 remake, is returning to develop it.
Though further information wasn’t revealed, the music is note-for-note based on the first game’s intro theme. Both companies announced a continuation of their collaboration last February, confirming that a new title based on Konami’s IP was in the works. The decision to remake the first Silent Hill is understandable – after all, it is the game that started the series.
Going straight to Silent Hill 3 after Silent Hill 2 remake would also be challenging due to its ties to the first game. Stay tuned for more details and updates in the meantime.
The next mainline title in the series is Silent Hill f, developed by NeoBards Entertainment and launching on September 25th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. It’s an original title unconnected to past entries and set in Ebisugaoka, a fictional Japanese village in the 1960s.
