City Connection will release Jaleco shoot ’em up P-47 II MD for Mega Drive on March 13, 2025 in Japan for 8,800 yen, the company announced.

P-47 II MD was originally in development for Mega Drive under the title P-47 II Freedom Star, but development was cancelled in 1990.

  • 1988 – P-47 The Freedom Fighter (arcade) launched
  • 1989 – P-47 (PC-Engine) released
  • 1990 – P-47 Thunderbolt (Amiga, Atari ST, Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, etc.) released
  • 1990 – P-47 II Freedom Star (Mega Drive) development cancelled
  • 1995 – P-47 Aces (arcade) launched
  • 2020 – Arcade Archives P-47 (PlayStation 4, Switch) released
  • 2022 – P-47 Aces Kai (arcade) launched
  • 2025 – P-47 II MD (P-47 II Freedom Star) released
