Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding 2: On the Beach launched last week to rave reviews from fans and critics, who lauded its improvements and narrative. PlayStation has since released a new trailer, highlighting some of the more positive critical reviews. Check it out below.
Unfolding several months after the events of the first, Death Stranding 2 follows Sam Porter Bridges as he continues his life as a courier in Mexico. A meeting with Fragile, who heads up the new Drawbridge, offers a promising opportunity, but things quickly go wrong. Of course, that’s far from the end, as he eventually joins Drawbridge on the DHV Magellan and ventures to Australia to connect it to the Chiral Network.
While retaining the same exploration and delivery loop, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach expands on the player’s options with new firearms and stealth mechanics. You also have new vehicles, tools, and structures to play with (hallelujah for zip lines that curve around corners). Check out our review for more details.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is exclusive to PS5. It’s currently the the fourth-highest-rated game of the year on Metacritic.
