While IO Interactive acknowledged the “tough reception” around MindsEye and how it may rethink publishing future games, developer Build A Rocket Boy is still hard at work on improving the title. Its fourth major update is now available and offers numerous updates on PC and console, including the option to skip cinematics.

It also improves overall performance by optimizing architecture, assets, shaders and collisions. There are even improvements to aim assist, which ensures aim assist will target enemy turrets on vehicles rather than the one driving. PC owners can look forward to a new Player Content tile for immediate access to player-generated content.

A new Curated Content tile can also be accessed for content that the studio has selected. Check out some of the patch notes below and full details here. Support will continue for the foreseeable future with Update 5 promising “major performance, combat and Enemy AI system improvement,” so stay tuned.

MindsEye is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Check out our review of the launch version.
