Polish developer Sonka will launch a Kickstarter campaign for psychological survival horror game Holstin this summer, the company announced.

The Kickstarter campaign will aim to raise funds to complete the final stages of the game’s development, as well as fund additional features and ideas.

An extended gameplay trailer was also released, offering a glimpse into the wide range of weapons available to you as you fight for survival in an eerie 90s-era Polish lakeside town consumed by unsettling horrors. Weapon options include pistols, semi-automatic rifles, grenades, flashbangs, Molotov cocktails, sniper rifles, Uzis, bows, and more.

Here is a brief overview of the game, via Sonka:

Holstin uses Sonka’s custom 2XD Rendering technology, enabling the team to create real-time lighting in detailed pixel art environments, as well as multiple camera modes in a way that has never been seen before. The game features various perspectives, including isometric 3D, over-the-shoulder third-person shooting, first-person driving, top-down exploration, and side-scrolling platforming.

Heavily inspired by the Resident Evil and Silent Hill series with the narrative team aiming for a darker Twin Peaks feel.

Holstin will be available for PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC (Steam) platforms. A release date has yet to be announced.
