Team Cherry’s highly anticipated title, Hollow Knight: Silksong, is all set to release on September 4, 2025, and the game’s prices have been revealed. The game’s development began in 2018, and today players have received one final reminder from the developers 2 days ahead of its official release.
Hollow Knight: Silksong Devs Reveal Key Delivery Details for Switch and Steam
The latest Kickstarter update (via GameReactor) from Team Cherry reveals that backers and players who have completed the survey will receive their keys shortly before the release. Nintendo Switch players will receive the game keys directly via email. Switch 2 players will need to redeem the Switch key, download the game, and then download the additional free Hollow Knight: Silksong Upgrade Pack from the eShop to unlock the platform’s enhanced features.
As for Steam/DRM-free: Similar to the previous installment, Steam keys will be delivered via Humble Bundle, and they include the official soundtrack for all players. DRM-free versions will be sent out through the same link, but they “will not be visible until launch.” Surveys will end tomorrow, and players who were not able to make the cut-off will have to mail the developers directly.
