Twelve days after launch, Sandfall Interactive’s Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has sold over two million units. Its last milestone was one million sold in three days and neither sum accounts for the number of players on Game Pass.
On Steam, the role-playing game performed well in its first week, with Alinea Analytics reporting over 785,000 copies sold. This is nearly double that of Metaphor: ReFantazio (346,600) and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (334,400), both RPGs from established companies Atlus and Square Enix. It also achieved a new peak concurrent player count of over 145,000 on the platform, per SteamDB.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Check out our review, where we praised the game for its art direction, fidelity, story, characters, combat, and exploration.
