For those who conquered the night and humbled the Everdark Sovereigns in Elden Ring Nightreign, a new high-difficulty mode called Deep of Night is coming tomorrow. This mode sees players venturing into Limveld to face more challenging enemies, including powerful new “variants,” while dealing with new conditions.
Said conditions include not knowing who the Nightlord target is, having certain sections of the map hidden, or even facing an Everdark Sovereign on Day 3. You can discover weapons with additional effects, but some prove negative, like the Jar Cannon that causes poison buildup if you’re below max health. There are also Depths Relics, and while they carry the same potential debuffs, you can equip them alongside regular Relics.
Upon completing a run in Deep of Night, your rating improves, allowing you to access further Depths. FromSoftware indicated that Depths 4 and 5 feature endless battles, so it should be interesting to see how that plays out.
Deep of Night goes live on September 11 at 6:30 PM PDT. Elden Ring Nightreign is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC.
