It’s August!? Why is it August!? What the hell happened to July? Well, whatever the explanation, it’s mid-way through August and that means PlayStation is adding more games to its catalog, and putting out a few more classics.
Mortal Kombat 1 gets top billing this month, after it was recently revealed that it had hit 6.2 million copies sold. It replaces the far more successful Mortal Kombat 11.
Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is, of course, a massive PlayStation exclusive. It’s something of a weird situation, though, because Marvel’s Spider-Man was previously on the service and got removed back in 2023. Why it has been kept off for so long is anybody’s guess, but at least this time we’re getting the remastered version, provided you’re on PS5. If you’re on PS4, you get the Game of the Year edition instead.
