Nintendo has announced that Pokemon Legends: Z-A, the next mainline title in the series, will launch on October 16th. Though initially announced for Nintendo Switch, it’s also coming to Switch 2, which offers improved visuals and frame rates.
As with many titles, the company reaffirmed that current owners of the digital and physical editions on Switch 1 can upgrade to the Switch 2 Edition through a paid upgrade pack. The exact price isn’t known, but if it follows The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, it should cost $10.
Of course, Nintendo has yet to announce the pricing of Pokemon Legends: Z-A. Whether it goes with Donkey Kong Bananza’s $70 price point or continues the $80 initiative seen in Mario Kart World remains to be seen, so stay tuned.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A unfolds entirely within Lumiose City in the Kalos Region. Players can roam the cityscape by day and visit Wild Areas to capture Pokemon or partake in the Z-A Royale by night.
