Joining the list of live service titles that have announced shutdowns is Toylogic’s Warlander. The fantasy competitive title, which saw up to 100 players battling to topple opposing strongholds, will shut down servers on January 20, 2026 (becoming unavailable to download afterwards).
Players can no longer purchase Goldings, the in-game currency. You can still use those currently in your inventory, but there won’t be refunds. Customer support has also shut down. However, the 2-Army Great War and Weekend Campaign events will remain available until the end of service.
However, this isn’t necessarily the end for the IP. Instead, the developer is working on a reboot, Warlander Reforge (working title), that features improved visuals, new combat actions and more. It’s “steadily progressing” through development ahead of its open beta in August.
Once it officially launches, you can carry over Pickhammers, Goldings, and Equipment Glamors, though Silvings, character performance items, and more won’t transfer. Stay tuned for more updates in the coming months.
