    Dank Hearts will release a demo for multi-ending escape adventure game Type-NOISE: Shonen Shojo for PC via Steam featuring the game’s “Hiyori” chapter today at 8:00 p.m. PT / 11:00 p.m. ET, the company announced.

    Welcome to Noise Scramble City—a maze-like metropolis reminiscent of Tokyo. Six young individuals awaken downtown in a mental prison of their own making with no memory of their arrival. Now they must solve intricate mysteries to piece together fragments of their pasts and ultimately escape this enigmatic alternate reality.

    In the demo, play as Hiyori, a popular content creator with a habit of telling white lies to garner attention. Connect Hiyori’s past traumas with her deceitful tendencies across abstract, story-rich puzzles filled with narrative-rich tidbits weaved into every brainteaser.

    Today marks the beginning of the “Be Part of Type-NOISE: Shonen Shojo” Campaign event. Participants who complete the demo and submit feedback will have their names included in the end credits of the full release. This campaign runs until December 20, 2024 JST, be sure to join through the entry form!

    Explore each stage to gather clues needed for escape and awaken the memories of the youths. By uncovering their pasts, you’ll gain hints to solve the mysteries ahead. This close integration of story and puzzle-solving elements is the game’s most captivating feature.

    Type-NOISE: Shonen Shojo is due out for PC via Steam in 2025.

    Story: An Escape from the Labyrinthine City, “Noise Scramble City”

    In a city both similar to and distinct from Tokyo, there lies the labyrinthine “Noise Scramble City,” a place where people’s traumas have taken shape as prisons. Six young people, mysteriously transported here and stripped of their memories, find themselves trapped.

    To escape this maze-like city, they must gather fragments of their lost memories scattered among the streets, recall their past traumas, and overcome them. Through this journey, they gradually uncover the secrets of this world and the core of the story.

    Will they solve the mysteries surrounding the events that befell them and find their way back?

    Six Youths Bearing Hidden Traumas

    Six young individuals are transported to “Noise Scramble City,” each carrying a unique trauma they cannot share with anyone.

    Zena Yugamizora, Age 15. Main Protagonist. A tokusatsu fan and tsundere. (Likes Action Movies [Tokusatsu] and tsundere)

    “I should be able to make it… just like a hero!”

    Itsuki Hozuki, Age 16. A boy tormented by feelings of jealousy.

    “Annoying! You’re getting on my nerves. Are you gonna make me a hamburger or what?”

    Honoka Kirishima, Age 16. A Pretentious but paranoid girl

    “In the end, it’s someone else’s problem. To doubt and be doubted—that’s what it means to be human.”

    Kaito Shimizu, Age 17. A boy with no self-esteem.

    “Shunned for this face, called a germ—a scarred shadow.”

    Hiyori Endo, Age 17. A lying, manipulative streamer (video content creator) girl.

    “Hyper powerfully doing my best! Rolling the camera—!”

    Soto Ochibana, Age 15. Overly generous and honest boy.

    “If you’re going to do it, then I’ll land my hands.”

    Specter, the witty city watcher.

    “If you really think that, then how about do something about it.”

    Clues Lie Within Their Own “Traumas”

    The labyrinthine city is filled with numerous rooms, each one twisted in appearance, embodying the traumas carried by each character.

    Explore each stage to gather clues needed for escape and awaken the memories of the youths. By uncovering their pasts, you’ll gain hints to solve the mysteries ahead. This close integration of story and puzzle-solving elements is the game’s most captivating feature.
