It’s become a bit of a running joke that The Last of Us is trying to compete with The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for the amount of different editions that have been released. Well, guess what? There’s going to be another version of The Last of Us for sale soon, apparently.
The news comes via the very reliable billbil-kun on Deal Labs who says: “According to our information, a new special edition of a game in The Last of Us franchise is in the works, with a physical release on PS5.”
Despite not knowing exactly what this new edition is, billbil-kun does claim to know the price: 119.99 Euros or 109.99 Dollars. Apparently, it will become available to pre-order sometime in the next two months.
Presumably Sony is looking to capitalise on the fact that season 2 of The Last of Us TV show will debut on April 13, while the PC port of The Last of Us: Part 2 is due out in just a few days.
So what could this new physical edition be? My bet is that it will be a special edition combining both games along with all of the DLC.
