The Alters Trailer is a Reminder That You Can’t Please Every Jan

11 bit studios has released a new Expeditions Logs episode for The Alters focusing on how each version of Jan Dolski has different needs. While players can choose to expand their base and please each Alter, they may have to prioritize tools and infrastructure to complete the mission.

Regardless of your excellent management skills, it’s impossible to please everyone. Though the consequences have yet to be fully detailed (though dismemberment is definitely on the table), it can be heartbreaking to hear each Jan’s request and not be able to fulfill it.

Beyond dialogue exchanges, the trailer also reveals Beirut, a party game you can play with an Alter. Whether other mini-games exist is unknown, but it is a nice change of pace from resource-gathering, exploration, and base-building.

The Alters doesn’t have a release date following its most recent delay, but it’s coming to Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC later this year. A free demo is out now.
