Publisher Team17 and Black Mesa developer Crowbar Collective have announced Rogue Point, a four-player cooperative first-person shooter for PC (Steam). A release date was not announced.

“Team17 has had amazing success in the shooter genre and we’re delighted to offer another incredible title in that space by teaming up with [first-person shooter] veterans, Crowbar Collective,” said Team17 general manager Ann Hurley in a press release. “We’ve seen the high quality they brought to Black Mesa and together we know Rogue Point will take things to the next level.”

Crowbar Collective CEO and project lead Adam Engels added, “We’re very excited to share that we have partnered with Team for our upcoming co-op shooter, Rogue Point. We cannot wait to go in depth about the game, and everything we learned while creating a new [intellectual property] (as well as turning Crowbar Collective into a full time development studio). We can’t thank Team 17 enough for their support and expertise. Just like Black Mesa, we want to heavily involve the community in our development and updates. Our community was critical in the Early Access of Black Mesa and having Team 17 as a partner for Rogue Point helps us focus on development and community feedback!”

Here is an overview of the game, via Team17:

    About

Rogue Point is an four-player cooperative shooter developed by Crowbar Collective, the creators of Black Mesa.

The CEO, the richest man in the world, is dead. Cutthroat conglomerates seek to carve up his kingdom. Using the MERX app, rival businessmen can order private mercenary armies as easily as ordering takeout! Only Rogue Point, an elite, independent vigilante squad, dares to fight back.

Your objective is clear. Eliminate the MERX, and put an end to the corporate war. Gather up to four friends and build an elite team, engaging in challenging missions with a dynamic roguelite twist offering hundreds of ways to play.

    Key Features

    • Unlock cosmetics, weapons and campaign modifiers to create loadouts specific to the needs of the mission.
    • Plan and shoot your way through a dynamic campaign, where no two playthroughs are alike.
    • Each MERX class presents a unique threat, that challenges you in new and surprising ways.
    • Evolve operators’ skills, interacting with the roguelite element of the game.
    • Gather Intel, plan your assault, and adapt your strategy along the way. Fight your way through missions spread across four diverse locations, with each map reshaped by the game’s Parametric Design System, offering new strategies and challenges with every play.
