Just months after saying he was finished updating the game until the release of his new project, Stardew Valley‘s maker says he’s working on another one.
Eric ‘ConcernedApe’ Barone has now been working on his massively successful indie game Stardew Valley for about 13 years. He’s also building a new game titled the Haunted Chocolatier and stated a few months ago that update 1.6 -which added a lot of content – would be the last one for Stardew Valley until Haunted Chocolatier launches.
However, at the recent Stardew Valley Symphony of Seasons concert, Barone took the stage and made an announcement: “After the [last] update, I was thinking ‘I dunno if I’m gonna make another update’, but, I wanted to share something with you tonight, it’s kind of a secret… there’s gonna be another update.”
The crowd was more than pleased to hear the news. After all, Barone’s updates tend to be substantial, adding heaps of new content to enjoy. Sadly, he did not share any details about what to expect in the new update or even when it might be out. But he does seem to be implying it’ll release before the Haunted Chocolatier.
