While it’s a quiet weekend for gaming news (especially after the tumultuous week of layoffs), Anime Expo 2025 saw a new panel for Konami’s Silent Hill f. Hosted by series producer Motoi Okamoto, scriptwriter Ryukishi07 and composer Akira Yamaoka, it featured the debut of some new footage from the upcoming survival horror title.
More specifically, they showcased the opening to attendees, which CGMagazine has posted online. It features the protagonist, Hinako, speaking to a doll, seemingly discussing the past and how the other girls wouldn’t play with her. She’s joined by her older sister, dressed in a yukata, and after gifting her a small bell, they share a hug. Interestingly, we never see her sister’s face.
The camera then zooms out to show a Torii gate and the town of Ebisugaoka, the game’s setting, where a telltale fog seemingly begins to settle in. Silent Hill f launches on September 25th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. Those who purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition will receive three days of early access.
