The Nintendo Switch 2 has finally been announced, with a dedicated Nintendo Direct coming on April 2nd. While a release date beyond “2025” hasn’t been revealed, payers in select cities can go hands-on with the console.

As part of the Nintendo Switch 2 Experience, those in Paris and New York can play from April 4th to 6th, followed by April 11th to 13th in London and Los Angeles. Berlin, Milan, Dallas, and Toronto are next from April 25th to 27th, while Madrid and Amsterdam can go hands-on from May 9th to 11th.

Tokyo can try it from April 26th to 27th, Melbourne can go hands-on from May 10th to 11th, and Seoul from May 31st to June 1st. Dates will be announced for Hong Kong and Taipei later.

As for how you can attend the event, registration is available from January 17th, noon PT, until January 26th, 11:59 PM local time per location. Nintendo will provide tickets through random selection, with results to be announced “soon after” registration. Attendees will also need a free Nintendo account, and the US events are only available to residents.

The Nintendo Switch 2 has been rumored for many months, and the company has confirmed backwards compatibility with the previous console’s games. However, it also noted that specific titles may not be fully supported or compatible. Stay tuned for further details later.
