Detective adventure game Mystereet: Yasogami Kaoru no Chousen! will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC via Steam in 2025 in Japan, MAGES. announced.

The announcement came via an update to the game’s teaser website, in which its platforms were changed from “Xbox Series X / Xbox Series S / Xbox One / PlayStation 4″ to “Nintendo Switch / Xbox Series X|S / PlayStation 4 / Steam,” and a 2025 release window was added.

Mystereet: Yasogami Kaoru no Chousen! is a port of the original Mystereet, which was first released on PC as Mystereet: Fukagyaku Sekai no Tantei Shishi in 2004, and has since been ported to PlayStation 2 as Mystereet: Yasogamo Kaoru no Jiken File and PlayStation Portable as Mystereet Portable: Yasogamo Kaoru no Chousen!. The PlayStation Portable version, which included a collection of mini scenarios called “Kaoru Yasogami’s Case Files,” was also re-ported to PC as Mystereet Windows: Yasogamo Kaoru no Chousen!. It is also likely the basis for this new port.

A collection called Mystereet F: The Detectives’ Curtain Call including both Mystereet: Yasogami Kaoru no Chousen! and sequel Mystereet 2: Farewell Encounter was once planned, but was canceled in favor of releasing the first game standalone. A message previously accessible on the teaser website stated that an announcement regarding the sequel would be made when the situation was sorted.
