    M2 shares New Year 2025 updates on Aleste Branch, Night Striker GEAR, and Ubusuna

    Shoot ’em up studio M2 provided updates on several of its upcoming games during its New Year 2025 greeting video, including Aleste Branch, Night Striker GEAR, and Ubusuna.

    Regarding Aleste Branch, director Masato Yamanaka showcased new gameplay footage and said that development on the game is complete, and the team is currently working on getting it up and running on each platform. Specific platforms have yet to be announced, but M2 generally releases games for PlayStation 4 and Switch.

    As for Night Striker GEAR, M2’s all-new entry in the TAITO franchise, the company shared the first trio of screenshots:

    And finally, for Ubusuna, the long-awaited next shoot ’em up from Ikaruga director Hiroshi Iuchi, M2 shared a new song from the game’s soundtrack, as well as confirmed that the game is in active development.

    At the end of the video, M2 ShotTriggers series general director Kazuki Kubota said that while he was not able to share much news in 2024, he is currently working on the next project with the DoDonPachi Blissful Death Re:Incarnation team, as well as a separate project, so there should be a lot of news to share in 2025.
