Developer Ultizero Games has released a new update for its action RPG Lost Soul Aside. The update, available on both PC and PS5, focuses on a host of bug fixes, but the core components of the patch largely revolve around brining some optimisations to the gameplay and visuals.
The major bug fix for both the PC and PS5 versions of Lost Soul Aside is for an issue that could come up that essentially blocks the Upgrade menu from ever unlocking for players. Thankfully, the update doesn’t require players to start playing all the way from the beginning, as the fix ensures that the Upgrade menu will automatically unlock once the update is installed.
As for some of the other changes in the update, some of the puzzles and mini-games from Lost Soul Aside have seen difficulty adjustment, and controller users will be able to find a new preset control scheme as well. NPC animations have also gotten touched up, offering smoother visuals, and boss difficulty across Normal, Hard and Nightmare modes has been tweaked.
PC players are also in for smoother overall gameplay, with the update addressing performance, frame rate and lag issues that have been affecting those playing Lost Soul Aside on a Windows machine.
Ultizero Games had announced just as the game had come out that it would be working on updates to fix stuttering and other performance issues affecting Lost Soul Aside with updates. Among the things outlined by the studio as part of its plans include a “comprehensive” revamp of combat sound effects, as well as some changes to early-game progression.
