The Windows 11 version 24H2 update is currently causing issues when playing certain Ubisoft games.

According to the latest update on Microsoft’s website, the Windows 24H2 update causes several issues while playing specific Ubisoft games, which included unresponsiveness while launching, loading or playing the games. Some users have also reported facing black screens while playing these titles. Check out all the affected games below:

    • Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
    • Assassin’s Creed Origins
    • Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
    • Star Wars Outlaws
    • Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

Ubisoft has “released a temporary mitigation for Star Wars Outlaws to prevent the game from failing and stop responding” in the latest Windows 11 update. However, players might still encounter performance issues even after this hotfix. A permanent fix is currently being worked on.

The Windows 11 24H2 update is a phased rollout that will arrive for all eligible devices within the coming weeks. If the update becomes available for your device, it will be downloaded and installed automatically.

In other news, Ubisoft has clarified the Assassin’s Creed Animus hub rumours. Also, Project U is back on the drawing board after 5 years of development. What are your thoughts on the latest Windows 11 update stopping Ubisoft games from working?
