At this point, is it even news to talk about an Xbox exclusive coming to PlayStation? Xbox “exclusive” Senua’s Saga: HellBlade 2 from Ninja Theory looks set to be the next game to be announced for PlayStation, according to some very reliable insiders, and could be launching on the platform this year alongside Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and the recently announced for PlayStation, Forza Horizon 5.
Window’s central’s Jez Corden broached the topic of Hellblade 2 in an article he published today, stating that: “Recently, I’ve been hearing from trusted sources that Hellblade 2 could be launching on PlayStation 5 as soon as this April.”
Jez said something similar a few days ago in a discussion about Sony’s State of Play on X, where he mentioned that a Hellblade 2 announced could be happening “pretty soon.”
Another reliable insider has also chimed in with similar news. Nate the Hate has proven to have some solid inside information as of late, successfully predicting the reveal date of the Nintendo Switch 2.
Speaking on ResetEra, Mr. Hate said that: “Hellblade 2 for PS5 announcement is coming soon.”
It isnt the first time Jez and Nate have raised the idea of Hellblade 2, either. Back in January of this year Nate the Hate had discussed sources telling him of multiple Xbox titles coming to PlayStation. Jez then corroborated those reports, adding that he had heard Hellblade 2 and Age of Mythology would also be making rhe jump.
Of course, Jez ended up being correct about Age of Mythology, as it was announced for Sony’s platform earlier this month along with Age of Empires. This makes his claim of Hellblade 2 even more believable.
Lending credence to the rumours is the simple fact that Hellblade 2 does not seem to have performed very well on Xbox, so Microsoft may be looking to squeeze a little more out of it by slinging it onto another platform.
Finally, on a somewhat related note, some small part of me almost expected Microsoft to pop up at Sony’s recent State of Play to suddenly announce Avowed for PS5 day 1. That’s how crazy things are these days.
