After announcing over 500,000 copies sold on its first day, Sandfall Interactive revealed that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is now at one million sales. The developer also clarified that this figure represents units shipped to retailers and doesn’t include Game Pass players, which is even more impressive.

Playable on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC for $49.99, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is the story of Lumiere, which sends out yearly expeditions to destroy the Paintress. Players control Gustave, who teams with Lune, Maelle, and Sciel to explore the continent, encountering powerful Nevrons created by the Paintress and mysterious creatures known as Gestrals.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has garnered extensive acclaim from critics. On Metacritic, it’s tied alongside Blue Prince as the highest-rated game of 2025 with a 92 Metascore based on 63 reviews. Check out ours here – we gave it a nine of ten, praising the combat, world-building, characters, music, and art direction.
