Copa City will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam on March 26, 2026, developer Triple Espresso announced. A Kickstarter campaign is now available.

    Here are the latest details:

The announcement was paired with a brand-new trailer, highlighting one of the many challenges players will troubleshoot in Copa City and offering a closer look at the game’s vibrant, matchday-fueled world.

Let’s get one thing clear: Copa City is happening. The game is fully funded and scheduled for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC.

    So why a Kickstarter?

The goal isn’t to finish the game, it’s to make it bigger. The campaign aims to help expand Copa City’s scope with additional features, future content, and ambitious ideas for launch and beyond. From marketing to in-game systems, the team behind the game wants to involve the community directly and give fans a voice in what comes next.

“It also offers something unique—a chance for fans of featured clubs to bring their passion into the game itself,” said Triple Espresso Jakub Szumielewicz in a press release. “Whether it’s through personalized content, community-driven ideas, or special in-game representations of their club culture. Copa City gives supporters a way to help shape how their favorite teams are brought to life beyond the pitch.”

    So what is Copa City?

Copa City isn’t a typical football game. It’s not about scoring goals, it’s about bringing the entire matchday experience to life.

Players take on the role of behind-the-scenes organizers, preparing the city for matchday. From setting up fan zones and decorating streets, to managing transport, food trucks, marketing, and stadium logistics—Copa City is about orchestrating the energy, excitement, and controlled chaos that surrounds the game.

Officially licensed clubs include Borussia Dortmund, FC Bayern München, Flamengo, with more to be announced.

Developed by a passionate team of artists, football fans, and game developers at Triple Espresso, Copa City is a heartfelt love letter to football culture, city life, and the thrill of game day.

Now, the team is inviting fans to be part of the journey.
