Publisher and developer Bandai Namco, and developer Koei Tecmo have announced Kingdom: Hadou, a free-to-play strategy game coming to iOS and Android in Japan. A release date was not announced, but a closed beta test will be held in mid-to-late January 2025. Applications are available now via the official website until January 2, 2025. Only 5,000 users will be accepted.

Here is an overview of the game, via its official website:

    About

Kingdom: Hadou is a hyper-authentic strategy game set in the world of Kingdom.

You play as a general in the world of Kingdom. Master the features of various battlefields, from forests to hills, and utilize the unique generals from the anime to conquer the fight. Advance while cooperating with players who fight for the same army, compete for castles and fortresses across vast maps, and grow your army. Aim to become the “Taishogun of the Land” in the exhilarating world of Kingdom!

    Key Features

    • The Vast World of Kingdom at Overwhelming Scale – From Dakan Plains to Hangu Pass, the various battlefields featured in the anime have been recreated as 3D maps. Work together with players from the same army and strategize to advance towards castles and fortresses.
    • Challenge Kingdom Officers on Various Battlefields – The important thing in battle is to utilize your “tactical advantage.” Understanding the battlefield’s features, such as hiding in forests for surprise attacks, will be the key to victory. Rearrange your officers’ compositions and formations based on the battlefield, then engage in battle. The “Fire of Victory” that blazes when you rise to the occasion will give your generals even greater power. Cut through an ever-changing battlefield with your officers.
    • Weave Together the “Emotions” of Officers and Hone Your Spirit as a General – Deepen your relationships with officers to receive their “emotions.” Weave these “emotions” into your spirit and gain greater strength. Carry the “emotions” of your fellow officers as you aim for greater heights.
    • Large-Scale “Siege Battles” Where Armies Clash at Full Force – Large-scale 30-versus-30 “Siege Battles” will unfold in “fortresses” around the land. Utilize large weapons called “Siege Towers” to attack and defend, and enjoy deeper teamwork and coordination. Work with your companions to attain victory on large battlefields of a scale worthy of the Kingdom name.
