Hungry Meem, a colony simulation game about hungry creatures called Meems, will launch for Switch and PC via Steam on June 19 with English, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese language support, publishers Drecom and Clouded Leopard Entertainment announced.

    Get the latest details below.

This new title is based on an original concept by Drecom, which is also handling the development.

Hungry Meem is a colony simulation game where players raise AI creatures called Meems, guiding them through generations of evolution while exploring and conquering dungeons. The game features original planning by Kenichi Nishi (known for Chibi-Robo! and moon) and world art design by Yukihito Morikawa (known for Ganbare Morikawa-kun 2-go and Jumping Flash!).

Additionally, the physical Limited Edition will include a hardcover artbook, Hungry Meem Concept Artbook, featuring beautiful illustrations of the Meems and their world, as well as a set of Meem stickers. It will also come with the exclusive downloadable content “Watermelon Halloween Set 2.”

Both the physical Limited Edition and physical standard edition will be available for pre-order starting Monday, March 24 in Japan and Asia.

    ■ A Message from Yukihito Morikawa, World Art Designer

Welcome to the whimsical world of the Meems!

They’re curious, a little clumsy, and sometimes even a bit selfish—but through trial, error, and the occasional squabble, they slowly grow wiser.

I hope you’ll come to love these adorable little creatures!

And while you’re at it, I hope you enjoy exploring their mysterious world, built upon the ruins of an ancient civilization!

    —Yukihito Morikawa
